[KPOP REVIEW] TAEYANG'S 'RISE' ALBUM
I should mention I love BIGBANG and Taeyang who has recently released his new album just a few days ago and now I'll be expressing my thoughts on his new album *.*
Four years ago, Taeyang released 'Solar' and now his back AFTER FOUR YEARS with 'RISE'! The album consists of 8 newly songs and 'Ringa Linga' which he had previously released in November last year (I am not going to review Ringa Linga). This is purely based on MY opinion.
The intro song titled 'Rise' gives a strong impression that he is now ALIVE after his four year hiatus and I absolutely loved the intro and of course being me, I searched all the lyrics to his album and WOW they are SO meaningful which I admire from Taeyang. When I was listened to the intro, I didn't think there was swearing in it or my ears were just hearing things until I searched up the lyric :O
'But f**k it imma be all right'
He has awoken from his past form being the shy type guy he was back then to the confident Taeyang. This intro was a good kick-off for the album.
Moving on to his main title 'Eyes, nose, lips'. Two words.
LOVED IT!!!!!!! and the piano just compliments his beautiful voice
Boy, when he was shirtless ALL fangirls must be dying inside HAHAHA I know I was (guilty)
But having a ballad song for his title album was I think a good choice because it's different from his past title song 'I need a girl' and it also reflects on his voice. Damn that voice!
That song for me is on repeat, I can't go wrong with this song and loved the mv as well. Here's the mv if you have not checked it out!

1AM. LOVED IT AS WELL! Even though its a sad song what forgetting your lover but the beat to it is just so damn catchy, right?!

'Stay with me' ft. GD. Lyrics are written by GD himself. I don't know, this song didn't really stand out for me even though I love GD, there just wasn't a feel for me. Sorry GD fans!
'Body'. Surprisingly this song has not been banned by Korean broadcasting shows for the sexual explicit lyrics.
'I got that body, you got that body, now you and me let's make somebody'
But I also like this song as well so its a win for me.
'This ain't it'. I liked songs as well. His voice is just sooooo beautiful, his flawless. He can dance and sing!
'Let go' lyrics by Tablo. I've read on sites, fans who like the song because of the lyrics which I agree but its not my cup of tea, unfortunately :(
Lastly 'Love you to death', this song was an ABSOLUTE standout for me. I loved it which seems like the case for most songs but this one, MY GOSH the melody, his voice and CL's featured voice. OMG
This lyric for me was 'has Taeyang loved someone before?' and promised to loved that person forever? IDK
This song and lyric was the best from his album for me.
Overall, this album I LOVED! Seems like Taeyang has put in ALOT of work into this album for his fans and also showcasing his personal inner feelings towards a special someone in his past, present or future.
This album was worth the wait for four years LOL even YG kept on postponing it!
